Movies I Want to See

I’ve been watching a lot of trailers from IMDB lately, and I’m going to share some of the films I am looking forward to seeing this coming year:

Cloverfield – A monster movie with a clever twist – it’s filmed from the perspectives video cameras and cell phones. Plus it’s made by J.J. Abrams, of Lost and MI3 fame.

Funny Games – Looks a bit like a typical suspense film, but only a little quirkier.  I like quirky.

Stop Loss –  A soldier who finishes his tour in Iraq is called to redeploy.  A look at the Iraq war that really could go either way.

Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian – The first movie was awesome, and I have no doubt the second will be  awesome as well.

You Don’t Mess With The Zohan – Gotta love Adam Sandler, especially with the new look.

Vantage Point – This looks like an awesome thriller.  The preview reminds me of 24.

Kung Fu Panda –  It’s got the voice of Jack Black as a Panda.  That fights.  That’s about all I need.

Get Smart –  I’ve never seen the show, but the movie looks funny.

The Dark Knight – I absolutely loved the latest Batman movie, and this one looks like it’s sticking with the motif of a darker, less comical Batman.

Valkyrie – Starring Tom Cruise, this tells the story of an attempt by German soldiers to assassinate Adolph Hitler.

Clockwise, the images represent the landing of Noah’s Ark, the crucifixion, the parting of the Red Sea, and the Garden of Eden.

Anyone else think this is really cool?  Some of them sold at an art show for $36,000 bucks a pop!
